Biography

John Plott Jr was the son of John Plott. This is implied due to the fact that they show up as neighbors in the 1820-1830 US Census data[1][2]. Based on his age in the 1860/70 US Census data, he was born around 1784, which would put him with his father in York County, Pennsylvania.

John Plott Jr is not living with his father in 1810 (26 years old), but he does not show up in Cambria County either. Where is he?

In 1820 he shows up as a neighbor of his father and brother Joseph Plott. This area is now known as Susquehanna Township (created in 1825) in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. He is there until the 1860 US Census data[3], where he is shown in the borough of Carrolltown. In 1870, he appears in the borough of Derry in Westmoreland Township, Pennsylvania[4]. He was living with William Warnock, married to Agness Warnock. Agness must be one of his daughters, along with Elizabeth, who also lives in the household. John passed away 1872 in Derry Township, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, United States.

Platt-3088 and Plott-137 appear to represent the same person because: same parents, birth is an estimate on both profiles
