Philip Pratley was born in about 1830 at Leafield in Oxfordshire. [1]
Philip Pratley, aged 22, a labourer, of Leafield, son of Philip Pratley, clerk; and Emma Franklin, aged 21, of Leafield, daughter of Richard Franklin, labourer; were married at Leafield Chapel on 17 October 1853. [2]
In 1861 Philip Pratley was living in Lower End in Leafield with his wife Emma and their children. A widow called Ann Pratley was living with them. [She may be Philip's mother.] His age was given as 30, implying a birth date between in 1830 and 1831. His birthplace was given as Leafield. He was a labourer. [1]
