Private in the all-black 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry regiment, Company H. Enlisted on 21 April 1863 from Easton, Pennsylvania. He was 19 years old, single and working as a laborer when he enlisted. Mustered out 20 August 1865.
Note: There is also a Daniel Prince in Company C.

There's a Corporal Charles Prince in the 1890 Veterans Schedules for Easton, Pennsylvania who served in the 8th USCT who might be a family relation.
