Alfred was born in 1860. He was the son of Jean-Baptiste Proulx and Catherine Theroux. He passed away in 1920.

Baptized Alfred Proulx. Son of Jean Baptiste Proulx and Catherine (Teroux) Proulx. Husband of Selina St. Germain, who died in Attleboro, Massachusetts in August 1904 and is buried in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro, Massachusetts. There is no grave marker. They were the parents of seven children, Mary Louisa (1879-1880), Phoebe Florina (1880-1882), Frederick (1882-1951), Arthur ( -1937), George Henry (1887-1972), Cora (1888-1937), and Herbert C (1892-1902). After Selina's death he "went west" with a grown daughter, Cora, living in North Dakota and other places for a while before eventually settling in Tacoma.
