No birth record located. Birthdate estimated based on birthdate of wife. No death record located. However, note that there is a death record for a Thomas Purves, nurseryman, in 1875. However, since his age is recorded as 82 that would make his birth as 1793, which surely makes him too young to be Rebecca's husband.
