He married Harriet Williams Burley in Bendolba, New South Wales, Australia on 14 November 1873. ^[3]

Research Notes

• It appears that his parents never married. His birth record used the surname of his father "Purvey or "Purvis", but his marriage and death record used his mother's first married surname of "Bridge".
