Biography

Julian Rachal was born 8 March 1786 to Julian Rachal and Marie Louise Brevel and was baptized in Natchitoches on 16 April 1786.^[1]

He was counted on the 17 August 1797 census of Natchitoches as a one year old in the household of Julien Rachal, age 27 and his wife, age 23. At the time the family had 2 tracts, 14 arpents, 2 cows, and 10 horses. No slaves were recorded.^[2]

He wed Marie Heleine Lavespere on 18 April 1822 in Natchitoches.^[3]
