Biography

Duane Henry Rainford was born to Clyde Willis Rainford and Florence "Dolly" LaBrie Rainford. He was their first child, followed quickly by his brother Darrel. Duane was a reader who read through the school library and looked for more books. He said he was not necessarily a good student and recounted the day that he took a self-assigned vacation day and the principal expelled him from high school.^[1] He served in the military from Enlistment Date 20 Jan 1944 to Release Date 12 Nov 1946. He married Geneva Curry in 1958 and they had a daughter. He lived in Valparaiso Indiana. He died 08 Feb 2005 • West Lafayette, Tippecanoe, Indiana, USA in the Veteran's hospital.
