He was born in 1921 to William Reeves and Bessie Lackey. ^[2]

His mother died when he was just eight years old. In 1930, he was living with his father and stepmother. ^[3]

In 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. ^[4]

After the war, he married Doris Benda.

Edmond passed away at the age of 66 in 1988 ^[5], and was buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, Iowa. ^[6]
