Sofia (Reuss) Rienerth was born on August 16, 1863 in Transylvania, Hungary.

Sofia and George Rienerth were married. George was born in Reußmarkt, Hermannstadt, Siebenbürgen, Hungary. Their known children were:

1. George Paul Rienerth (born August 18 1883) .
2. Sophia Rienerth (born August 16 1885) .
3. Maria Rienerth (born 1887) .
4. Katherine Rienerth (born May 4 1889) .
5. Michael Rienerth (born June 16 1891) .
6. Simon Sam Rienerth (born March 23 1897) .
7. Martin Rienerth (born May 4 1902)

On September 11, 1912, Sofia, age 48 and widowed, arrived in the port of New York City, New York on the S.S. Kronprinz Wilhelm. She was traveling from Bremen, Germany with her two sons. Their previous residence was Mosna (incorrectly transcribed) and their final destination was to her son George Rienerth in Youngstown, Ohio. She listed her living relative in previous residence as her father Simon Reiss. Her sons just had the ditto mark, but he is their grandfather.^[1][2]

She passed away October 10, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of 87. She was buried in Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg, Ohio.^[3]

Her death notice was in The Cleveland Press as follows:

RIENERTH SOFIA, residence, 973 E. 128 St., beloved mother of Sofia Konnerth, Mary Schonauer, Katherine Stenzel, George, Sam and Martin Rienerth, grandmother, great-grand-mother and great-great-grandmother, sister of Katherine Mader and Elizabeth Wondrocheck of Youngstown and Michael Ruess of Transylvania. Friends may call at the Albert E. Ziehm Funeral Home, 7618 Superior Ave. Services Thursday, Oct. 12, at 1:30 p.m. Interment Crownhill Cemetery.^[4]
