A well known journalist, and an old and respected resident of Port Melbourne, passed away on the 30th ult., in the shape of Mr. John Riall, proprietor of the Port Melbourne "Standard." Deceased, who fell a victim to influenza, was 68 years of age. The funeral took place on Sunday, in the Church of England portion of the Boroondara Cemetery, the pallbearers including Mr. M. C. Mott, president of the Melbourne Suburban Press Association: Mr. C. G. Meehan, of the South Melbourne "Record"; Mr. S. A. Mott,

of the Kew "Mercury," and Mr. W. Dew, of the Hawthorn "Citizen."
