George was born in 1904. He was the son of Beatrice Sycamore. Ernest and Beatrice Richer, with young George, departed London, England aboard the transport ship SS Corinthic on 6 Mar 1914, arriving 20 April 1914 in Wellington, NZ. He passed away in 1985. He was born in Bures, England. Bures is a village in eastern England that straddles the Essex/Suffolk border, made up of two civil parishes: Bures Hamlet in Essex and Bures St. Mary in Suffolk. HIs ashes were buried with his wife in Opotiki Lawn Cemetery, Opotiki.
