Vessel was Waitemata. Rifleman. Reinforcements H Company. New Zealand Rifle Brigade. He served for 2years and 21 days. Date of discharge 8 November 1918. He was discharged due to injuries sustained in the War. Medals: British War Medal and Victory Medal.[4]

EVENING STAR - 4 JUNE 1920 / THE COURTS—TO-DAY Three Charges--William Bogue Rodger was charged with assaulting Norman Finlay and Percy Finlay, and further with committing mischief by damaging a set of artificial teeth, the property of Percy Finlay. Mr W. L. Moore defended--Norman Finlay, restaurant-keeper, said than when accused was refused admission last evening he struck witness on the eye and also his brother, breaking the latter's teeth.--The case was proceeding at 3 p.m.[7]

EVENING STAR - 30 NOVEMBER 1940 / PERSONAL Well known to many people as the liftman in the Savoy Buildings for many years, Mr William Bogue Rodger passed away this week at his home at Kaikorai Valley road. Aged 48 years, he was an ex-serviceman of the Great War, and suffered considerably from war disabilities.[10]
