William Rodwell was born on 29 September 1806 and baptised on 5 October 1806 in All Saints' Church, Bolton Percy, Yorkshire (Ainsty & City of York), England.[1] He was the 4th child of Joseph Rodwell and Jane Backhouse. His father was a labourer.
