Biography

Charlotte Rodwell was born about 1869 in Penkridge, Staffordshire, England, the daughter of Charles Rodwell and Elizabeth. She was baptised on 25 April 1869 at the St Michael and All Angels church in Penkridge.[1][2]

The 1871 census shows Charlotee Rodwell (2) living in Penkridge with her parents, Charles Rodwell (28) and Elizabeth (33), and siblings; William (8), Louisa J (6), Elizabeth (4), and Francis E (0).[3][4]

In 1881, Charlotte Rodwell (12) lived on Cank Road, i Penkridge in the Cannock registration district with her parents, Charles Rodwell (42) and Elizabeth (44), and seven siblings.[5]

She married Edward Albert Thurstance on 27 September 1886 at the St Michael and All Angels church in Penkridge.[6][7] They had children.

  1. Cecil Charles Thurstance was baptised 10 April 1887 in Penkridge.[8]
  2. Florence Hannah Thurstance was baptised 6 April 1890 in Penkridge.[9]
  3. Frank Thurstance was born about 1893 in Penkridge.
  4. Winifred Edith Thurstance was baptised 18 September 1898 in Penkridge.[10]
  5. Walter Thurstance was born about 1902 in Penkridge.
  6. Margaret Mabel (Thurstance) Fletcher was born about 1905 in Penkridge.

Charlotte died in 1939 in Staffordshire.[11]
