Biography

Mena Roneson was born in Minnesota in 1895. She was the daughter of Andrew Roneson and Karen Mikkelsdatter.

19 June 1895 Mena Roneson was 3 months old living with her parents Andrew 28 and Karen 29 and her sisters Hilda 2 and Emma 4 in Swenoda Township, Swift, Minnesota, United States. Her grandparents Knudson Roneson 78 and Karen Roneson 62 were also in the household. ^[1]

16 June 1900 her father Andrew Roneson owned their farm in Cumberland township, Barron, Wisconsin, United States. He had immigrated in 1888 from Norway and was naturalized. Karren was also born in Norway immigrating in 1889. They had been married 11 years and all 4 of their children were still alive. Emma 9, Hilda 7, Minnie 5 and Julia 4 were born in Minnesota. ^[2]

1 June 1905 Minnie was 8 years old. Andrew and Carrie owned their home in Cumberland, Barron, Wisconsin, United States. They had 5 children at home. Their daughter Emma had died earlier in 1905 at age 13. Andrew had been working as a carpenter for the past 8 months.^[3]

1910 Minnie was 15. Andrew’s father Rone Roneson age 93 born 1817 in Norway was widowed and living with them in Mount Morris, Morrison, Minnesota, United States. ^[4]

1913 Minnie Georgiana Roneson married James Le Roy Blood who was born 7 July 1889 in South Dakota. They had 2 children Eleanor M Blood born 17 June 1914 and Arlie James Blood born 30 December 1915. ^[5] Arlie’s obituary says he was born in a log cabin and his mother died before his second birthday.^[6]

15 Sep 1917 Minnie Georgiana Blood passed away at 22 years old in Bruce Township, Todd, Minnesota, United States. ^[7][5] Minnie G. Roneson Blood was buried in Bear Head Cemetery, Todd County, Minnesota, USA. ^[5]
