Derinda Rose also called Dolly was the 13th child born to Nathan Rose and Ruth Wheeler on October 5, 1824 in Wheeler, Steuben County, New York. She was 8 years old when her mother Ruth died. Nathan then married Sarah Leach and they moved with the family to Michigan. Dolly married John Sigler January 6, 1841 in Pinckney, Michigan and they had seven children. She died February 13, 1899 in Leslie, Michigan and is buried in the Pinckney Cemetery in Pinckney, Michigan.
