Biography
Lewis Penn Russ was born on 01 February 1869 in Alabama, United States. He was the son of Edwin W. Russ (~1830 - ~1887) and Nancy Caroline (Russell) Russ (1843-1924).[1]
Lewis Penn Russ was 1 year old when the 1870 United States Census was taken. He was listed as a member of the household headed by Edwin W. Russ. Though relationships were not stated, he was assumed to be his son, a fact which was verified by other records. Lewis Penn and his family were living in Coffee County, Alabama in the area served by the Elba Post Office. [2]
Lewis was11 years old when the 1880 United States Census was taken. He was living in the household of his parents in Clintonville, Coffee County, Alabama.[3]
Lewis Penn Russ died on 11 January 1933 in Enterprise, Coffee County, Alabama at the age of 63. He was buried in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Enterprise, Coffee County, Alabama.[1][4]
