Absolom was born in the Gurnsey on 5 Jan 1804. He married Clementina Green about 1836

Absolom and wife and two children arrived in the Colony of Western Australia on board the Sabrina on 13 June 1853.

Absolom passed away in Greenough on 24 February 1861, he was 58 years old. [2]. He is buried in the Greenough Pioneer Cemetery[3].
