Margaret Sandison was born about November 18, 1819 in Canisbay, Caithness, Scotland, United Kingdom, daughter of William Sandison ( –<1871) and Helen Shearer ( –<1871).

Margaret (44) married David Mowat (43) (born about 1820) on July 13, 1864 in Caithness. ^[1]

Margaret (51) married James Mackay (54) (born about 1816 in Rogart, Sutherland, Scotland; son of John MacKay and Catherine MacKay) on February 9, 1871 in Willowbank, Wick, Caithness. At the time of her marriage in 1871 she is a, domestic servant living at Willow bank, Wick.

Margaret died on June 5, 1900 in Wick, Caithness, aged about 80.She died of Apoplexy. Her nephew John Budge registered her death.
