Elizabeth was born in 1811. She is the daughter of Jacob Shank and Elizabeth Kimmel. She was christened October 27, 1821, at Glade Reformed and Lutheran Congregation in Stoney Creek Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, United States.[1]
