Biography
Owen was born about 1840 per his marriage record.[1]
He married Alice Durkin at the Roman Catholic Church of Mullahoran, County Cavan, Ireland on 12 October 1868.[1]

Death
- Owen's date of death is sometime between the conception of his youngest child Hugh Sheridan in 1872, and Hugh's marriage in 1892 when Owen is listed as "dead"[2]
- Based on age, location, and no other candidates, he is likely the Owen Sheridan who passed in Kilcogy in 1888.[3] On that record his widow is named as "Ellen Sheridan". "Ellen" can be a nickname for "Alice" in Ireland. But there is also an earlier death record for an Alice Sheridan of the correct age and location in 1877.[4]
