Merle Sheridan was born in Iowa.

Merle was born May 9, 1918 in Gravity, Taylor, Iowa. He was the son of Don Sheridan and Hester Hummel.

At age 21 he married Grace Dale Corey on November 21, 1939 in Maryville, Nodaway, Missouri.

He passed away March 6, 2005 in Essex, Page, Iowa. He was buried at the Rose Hill Cemetery located in Shenandoah, Page, Iowa.
