David Shires was a Tennessean.

Biography

David was born in 1802. He was the son of Christian Shires and Sallie Sears. He passed away in 1873. Mr. David Shires died Saturday a week ago at the age of 69 years... had cancer on the nose and was going to the doctor when his buggy turned over he he broke 3 ribs and he died that night. He was the first man to join the Christian Church in Maury County. Columbia Herald & Mail November 11, 1873,. ^[1]
