Biography
When John M. Shirkey was born on March 23, 1911, in Kansas, his father, John, was 47 and his mother, Martha, was 43. He married Helen Belle Shaffer in 1956. They had one child during their marriage. He died in December 1975 in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 64.
