Note: Census: Wayne County 07 JUN 1819, Milton Twp, Wayne, OH Note: Spelled Ziegler. U.S. Census 1820, Milton Twp, Wayne, OH. Census: Wayne County 1823, Milton Twp, Wayne, OH Note: Spelled Sigler. U.S. Census 1830, Milton Twp, Wayne, OH. U.S. Census 1840, Jackson Twp, Wayne, OH. U.S. Census 18 SEP 1850, Vermillion, Ashland, OH. A comparison of the 1820 census and tax list indicates 19 of the families had bought their land by early 1816 and used up their five-year tax exemptions. Henry Sigler was One in Milton Township, Wayne County Ohio. 2 2 18 Sep 1850 census lists him as 69 years old Vermillion, Ashland, OH. 1860 Census shows him as 79 years old. Headstone indicates he died in 1860 at age 81. 2 emigrated from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, at an early day.

The State of Ohio Ashland County - Minutes of the court of Probate in and for the county of Ashland and State of Ohio held at the court House in said county on the 11th day of October A.D. 1860 J.D. Jerris Judge of said court and ex officio Clerk of the Said court. Amongst the orders of Said court on Said day was the following to wit:

On motion the last will and Testament in writing signed by the maker thereof, Henry Sigler late of Ashland County deceased was brought before the court. Therefore came David Cipher and Michael Sigler Subscribing and credible witnesses thereto who were duly sworn and examined by said court, whose testimony was reduced to writing and Signed by them and filed with Said Will; And it is appearing to the court from Said testimony that Said last will and testament was duly executed and that Said Testator at the time of executing the same was at full age of Sound mind and memory and not under any restraint; it is ordered that Said will and Proof be by the judge of this court be recorded in a Book by him Kept for that purpose: and it is further ordered that Letters testamentary with the will annexed issue to Anthony R. Sigler the executor named in Said will on his entering into bond to the State of Ohio conditioned according to law in the Sum of two thousand Dollars with John Kirk and William Strickland Bail. Therefore came the Said Anthony R. Sigler and accepted said trust and with his Sureties executed and filed his bond as required to the acceptance of the court Appraisers James Crone; Jacob Atterlyold and R.B. Glass. J.D. Jerres, Probate Judge

The Last will and Testament of Henry Sigler of Ashland County Ohio

I Henry Sigler considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory and Blessed be Almighty God for the Same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First I give bequeath unto Anthony R. Sigler and Robert M. Sigler my two oldest sons the HomeStead farm and also the house and lot East of the homestead farm which contains about three and a half acres of land. The homestead farm contains one hundred and fifty acres of land together with all of my personal property by my two oldest sons Anthony R. Sigler and Robert M. Sigler supporting their mother Sarah Sigler and providing further all things necessary during her natural Natural lifetime and raising and supporting Marion and Selistia two minor children of mine and causing them to be educated / then are to protect and provide for said Children till they become to mature age. Said Anthony and Robert are to pay Margaret Metcalf fifty dollars and to pay Rebecka Sigler one hundred dollars and to pay Jane Greenland fifty dollars Sarah Sigler having already recd her legacy and to pay Matilda Moverry fifty dollars and to pay Isaac Sigler three hundred dollars and Said Isaac Sigler is to have the one third of all the grain in the ground at this time and one cow and the third of all the sawed lumber and the third of all the claims on Book at this time. And my two sons Anthony and Robert are to pay Catharine Leeser Seventy five dollars and to pay Augustine Matthews one hundred dollars and said Anthony and Robert are to pay Said Marion Sigler when he becomes of age ____ hundred dollars and to pay Selistia Sigler when she becomes of age one hundred dollars and an out ___ Said Anthony and Robert Sigler are to pay all funeral expenses and just debts that I owe. And I do hereby appoint Anthony R. Sigler my executor of this my last will and testament who is to collect all monies that may be coming to me and settle all my business. Given under my hand and seal this 4th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three. Henry Sigler

Signed Sealed published and declared by the above named Henry Sigler to be his last will and testament in the presents of us when at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses. David Cipher, Michael Sigler.

The State of Ohio Ashland County Personally appeared in open court David Cipher and Michael Sigler subscribery witnesses to the Last Will and Testament of Henry Sigler late of said county deceased who being duly sworn according to Law depose and say that the foregoing is the last Will and Testament of said Henry Sigler deceased that they subscribed their names thereto as the attesting witnesses at the request of the said Testator, and in his presence and in the presence of each otherand that he signed the same in our presence and acknowledged the same to be his Last Will and Testament; that said Testator at the time of executing the Same was of full age, sound mind and memory and not under any restraint. David Cipher, Michael Sigler.

Merging is not what you want, Sigler-1057 should be added as a daughter of Sigler-605 and Jones-71854. I have taken the liberty of doing this.
