Margaret Anne Urquhart Simpson was born at St. Fergus, Banffshire, Scotland, at 10 pm on the 6th of November 1877, the daughter of Margaret Simpson, an unwed mother, and James Urquhart, who was a shepherd at the time of her birth.[1]
In 1881, Margaret was living at her maternal grandparents place at St Fergus, Banffshire, Scotland with her siblings and an aunt and cousin.[2]

Margaret saw her first car when she was 18 years of age.
Maggie Simpson married William Drummond, gamekeeper, at St. Fergus, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on the 7th of June 1901.[3]
Margaret fell over and broke her hip while walking along the cliffs at Banff, after a military jet broke the sound barrier as it passed over the coast. This noise startled her and she was rushed to hospital where she developed pneumonia and passed away on the 14th of August 1976, at Chalmers Hospital, Banff, Scotland.[4]
