John Sinkey was the son of John Sinkey and Mary (Shields) Sinkey-Freeman.
He married 1) Louisa Wikle on 25 May 1837 at Butler County, Ohio.[1]. Their children are:
- Mary Jane Sinkey
- Isabel Sinkey, m. Mr. Cooper
He married 2) Rebecca Hedding, daughter of William and Mary (Black) Hedding, on 09 Mar 1843 at Butler County, Ohio.[2] Among their children are:
