George B Skinner was born in Williamson County, Illinois in 1841. He was the son of John Skinner and Elizabeth Crain. George enlisted in Company G, 128th Regiment, Illinois Infantry, Union in 1862.[1][2] He died in camp on 9 January 1863.[3]
