Marie Louise Sonnier is a descendant of an Acadian
Marie Louise Sonnier was born in 1767 in Opelousas, St Landry, Spanish Louisiana, a daughter of Sylvain Saulnier (~1738 - ~1801) and Marie Madeleine Bourg (1744 - 1814). She was three when they were counted on the census of 1771 in Attakapas, St. Martin, Louisiana;[1]
and nine on the census of May 1777 at the Opleousas Post in Louisiana.[2]
Marie Louise died on 4 January 1823 in St. Martinville, St. Martin, Louisiana, USA. [citation needed]

They had 43 cattle, 15 horses, on 6 arpents without title.
