Daniel Baker, son of Samuel and Alice, of Swansey, and Jemima Soule, of William and Jemima, of Tiverton, married 13d 2m 1755 (April 13, 1755).[1]
In 1757, Edward Soule and wife, and his sister Jemima Soule (wife of Daniel Baker) sold part of the estate of Joseph Baker, their grandfather.[2]
She died between 9 April 1757, when she and her brother sold land and before 29th 6th month 1758[3] when Daniel Baker, son of Samuel and Alice, married Phebe Buffinton, of William and Susanna, all of Swansey.[1]
The following wording leads one to believe that Jemima (Soule) Baker wife of Daniel was still alive in 1779.
21 June 1779, a division of the “widow’s thirds” of the estate of Joseph Baker, was made. “Set of to the heirs of Jemimah Sole who is deceasd daughter to Joseph Baker deceasd namely to Edward Sole and Jemima Baker the wife of Daniel Baker one acre and twenty eight Rods for their full share of the Deceasd Estate and is bounded .... and is aprized at the Sum of one Hundred Pounds.”[4]
