Biography

Lillian was born in 1895. She was the daughter of Willard Soule and Viola B Woodford.[1]

In 1900 she was living in Precinct 7 St. Louis city Ward 14, St. Louis, Missouri.[2] The household included Willard Soule age 35 born in Indiana, wife Viola B Soule age 31 born in Indiana, and daughter Lyllian M Soule age 5 born in Missouri. Willard was a porter in a mail shop. Viola was the mother of 1 child, living. Willard and Viola had been married 8 years. They were renting their home.

Lillian Soule and Earl Rinehart were married 15 Nov 1913 in Steuben, Indiana.[3] He was born 12 Nov 1892 in Steuben, Indiana. He was the son of Elmer E Rinehart and Louie Leinniger. He was a barber. She was born 7 Feb 1895 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Willard Soule and Viola Woodworth. It was the first marriage for both.

In 1920 she was living in Albuquerque Ward 3, Bernalillo, New Mexico.[4] The household included Earl Rinhart age 27 born in Indiana, wife Lillian Rinhart age 24 born in Missouri and mother-in-law Viola Sarles age 50 born in Indiana. Earl was a barber in a barber shop. Viola reported that she was widowed.

Lillian and Earl were likely divorced before he married Ora Snowberger, the daughter of Milo Sams and Evalina Coleman 24 Dec 1922 in Sturgis, St. Joseph, Michigan.[5]

Lillian Soule and Milo Cullen Dornan were married 5 Sep 1928 in Yuma, Arizona.[6] He was age 25, a native of Iowa and resident of Boone, Iowa. His occupation was US Navy. Lillian was a native of Missouri and a resident of San Diego, California. The address on the application was U.S.S. LaVallette, San Diego, California.

In 1930 she was living in Julien, Dubuque, Iowa.[7] The household included Milo C Doman age 27 born in Iowa, wife Lillian Doman age 25 born in Missouri, and mother-in-law Viola Soule age 58 born in Indiana. Milo was a US Navy recruiter. Viola reported that she was widowed. Milo was age 25 when first married. Lillian was age 23 when first married.

In 1940 she was living in Ward 3, Annapolis, Election District 6, Anne Arundel, Maryland.[8] The household included Lillian Dorman age 36 born in Missouri and mother Viola Soule age 71 born in Indiana. They had lived in San Diego, California in 1935. Milo was reported as head of household, on a different census sheet.[9] Milo was age 37 born in Iowa and was a chief fire controller for the US Navy.

She passed away 15 Nov 1974 in San Diego, California.[10][11]

She is buried in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, San Diego County, California.[12]

Research Notes

First husband Earl Rinehart - Earl Rinehart, son of Elmer Elsworth Rinehart son of Christopher Rinehart. Earl, son of Elmer and Luella married Osa Snowberger 24 Dec 1922 in St. Joseph, Michigan. A different Earl Rinehart, born in Ohio, was married to a different Lillian. Osa was Ocie Emma Sams (daughter of Milo S Sams and Evalena Coleman) first married Fred Chester Snowberger. Earl married Mary Virginia Mann 12 May 1962 in Angola, Steuben.[13][14]
