Description of Error - 8073: Ref or References tag used

<ref>...</ref> and <references/> tags should not be used in Categories. Category text should convey the purpose and guidelines for using the category and would not need source references.

Possible Causes

The content of a category page should follow the guidelines at "briefly describe the purpose of the category", including one or two sentences about the category itself. Category text:

• should describe the purpose of the category; and
• should not contain unique content (<ref>...</ref> and <references/> tags).

If references are needed, then a Space page may be appropriate.

Action Steps

Remove ref and references tags from the Category content. If there is a lot of content, move it to a Space page
