Biography

Edward Albert Stacey was born on 17th January 1912 in the district of Encounter Bay, South Australia, Australia. He was the son of Hugh Stacey and Lily Eats. [1] Birth date from FAG. Better source required.

Edward Albert Stacey married Edna Florence Knight on 31st August 1940 at the Congregational Church, Payneham South, South Australia, Australia. Their marriage was announced in "The Advertiser" on Monday 26th August 1940.

"Knight—Stacey-—The marriage of Edna (Peggy), eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Knight, of Paynenam South, to Edward A., third son of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Stacey, of Strathalbyn, will be solemnised at the Luhrs road Congregational Church, Payneham South, on Saturday, the 31st of August, at 7 p.m." [2]

Edward moved his family to Clare where he operated a franchise for International Harvester Co. Ltd. [3]

Later he moved back to the Southern Districts when he was appointed a senior field officer with one of the leading agricultural chemical houses. [4]

Edward Albert Stacey died on 12th January 1999 in South Australia, Australia.[5] Death date from FAG. Better source required.

He was buried at Strathalbyn Cemetery, South Australia, Australia.[6]
