Isabella (Steers) Ransom (1865)

Biography

Isabella was born^[1] and baptised in 1865 in Bewholme, Yorkshire, England. She was the daughter of William Steers and Mary Burgess.^[2]

At the time of the 1881 census Isabella worked as a domestic servant for the Sterriker family in Driffield, Yorkshire.^[3] In 1891 and 1901 she lived with her parents in Bewholme.^[4][5]

Isabella married George Ransom in 1905;^[6] the Ransom family lived in Beeford in 1911, when George worked as a fellmonger.^[7] He died in 1917 at the age of 56.^[8]
