At the age of about 33 Mary married Samuel Herbert Lewin Esq. (the son of Samuel Hawtayne Lewin) on 13 April 1871 at The Parish Church, Marylebone, Westminster, London, England. The witnesses were John Bowering K B, W Steinmetz and Emma Sarah Steinmetz.[2]
They had two sons (one of whom died young).
Her husband died in 1883. Her father died in 1886 and her mother in 1893.
UK Census Event Date 1891: Living in Norfolk Street, St George Hanover Square, London, England. Aged 53 and widowed. Also in the household was her 11 year old son Herbert and two servants.
