Private in Company B of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry of the Union Army, the first regiment in the United States made up entirely of enlisted men of color. He was about 26 years old, single and working as a barber when he enlisted on 2 December 1863 in Hadley, Massachusetts. Mustered out with his regiment on 20 Augus t1865.

Research Notes

It's possible that Atlanta Fuller was his remarried mother. Uncertain.

Possible sibling or cousin? Charles Story who served as a Sergeant in Company B, who enlisted from Greenfield or Hadley, Massachusetts.
