Biography

Berta Strauß ’s life was impacted by the Holocaust.

Berta Strauß was born on 21 Feb 1884 in Allendorf an der Lumda, daughter of Marcus Strauß and Hennchen Glück.[1]

Berta (43) married Hermann Meier (54) on 12 Jul 1927 in Pohl-Göns.[2]

In 1928 he moved with her husband and his sister Johanna to Bitburg. She was deported first to Theresienstadt on 27 July 1942, and then to Auschwitz on 23 January 1943, where she was murdered.
