Biography
John Swinton was born in about 1795 in Appleton, Cheshire, England, [1] the son of Thomas and Ann Swinton. [2]
He was baptised on 10 May 1795 in Lower Whitley, Cheshire. [2]
In 1828 he was farming in Newton, Daresbury, Cheshire. [3]
He married Ann Whitlow of Whitley, Budworth, Cheshire by licence on the 13th of February 1828 in Great Budworth Cheshire. [3]
In 1851 John was farming 123 acres in Marston, Northwich, Cheshire. Living with him were his wife Ann and 6 children. [1]
