Biography

Pasquale Terranova is born and baptized on 15 August 1817, named after his paternal grandfather. He is the son of Maestro Cristoforo Terranova and Carmela Canali. His godparents are Don Carmelo Guarneri and Pasquale's maternal aunt Donna Elisabetta (Canali) Guarneri, a married couple.

He is called Maestro in the record of his first marriage, and Don in the second. His father is a Maestro in both records.

Pasquale marries twice, first to Donna Marianna Termine, daughter of Don Giuseppe Termine and Donna Giovanna d'Adria, a married couple from Palermo, and residents of Corleone, on 16 January 1836.

Pasquale's father dies at age 74 (b. 1783) on 10 September 1857.

Pasquale's son, Cristoforo, named after his father, dies later that month, on 27 September.

His first wife dies within the week, on 3 October.

Pasquale marries the second time to Lucia Mannina, daughter of the late Giuseppe and living Teresia Citrano, and the widow of Giuseppe Colletti, on 26 May 1861. His parents have both died by this time.

Pasquale dies before his 74th birthday, on 1 April 1891. Lucia has predeceased him.
