Alexander M Thom, 85, retired carpenter, died early today at 2315 Ogden avenue where he and Mrs Thom resided with a son, Harold H Thom. He had lived in Omaha 50 years. Born in Scotland, he lived in Minnesota more than 30 years before coming to Omaha.
Survivors: Wife, Hattie C.; sons, Robert D, Minneapolis; Sherman G, Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada, and Harold, Omaha; daughter, Mrs Grace Oglesby, Omaha; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services: Saturday, 2 pm at Crosby-Carlson-Meyer mortuary; burial, Hillcrest Memorial park.
