Biography

Thomas Thompson, the son of John Thompson and Beatrice Detton, lived in Farmington, Colony of Connecticut and was a prominent citizen. On April 14, 1646 at Hartford, Colony of Connecticut, he married, Ann Welles, daughter of Gov. Thomas & Alice (Tomes) Welles. His widow married Anthony Hawkins.

A Digest of the Early Conn. Probate Records, Manwaring, p. 155-6 (p. 95-6 in original records): Thompson, Thomas, Farmington. Invt. 549-05-05 taken Dec. 5, 1655 by Thomas Judd and John Harte. Will dated April, 1654: "I Thomas Thompson, being in prfect health and memory, doe ordaine this my Last will and Testament as followeth: Imprmis. I give unto my bloved wife, whom I make my executrix, the one halfe of all my Land in ffarmngton Bounds, & the one halfe of all my howsing, Barnes & orcharding there uppon during her natural Life, and all my Goods &..."

Tompson-31 and Thompson-568 are not ready to be merged because: Mothers are not the same. Some information matches but could be the result of second marriage or confusing prior merges. I would need to double check sources before merging.

Tompson-31 and Thompson-568 appear to represent the same person because: These two share the same father and siblings. Thompson may very well be anothe, different man, but if so he must be disconnected from this father and siblings.
