Biography
Sarah was baptised on 8 May 1755 in Coates, Gloucestershire by parents Giles and Mary. [1]
On 29 May 1780 Sarah married John Dewe, Clerk, in Coates, Gloucestershire. [2]
She passed away at Grove Terrace, Derby, on the 4th November 1831, aged 76 and was buried on 9th November 1831 in Breadsall, Derbyshire. It was noted she was the widow of the late Rector. [3] Her death notice, printed in the local newspaper, stated: "Deaths. On Friday 4th inst., at Grove Terrace, in this town, Sarah, widow of the late Rev. John Dewe M.A., Rector of Breadsall, in this county."[4] Grove Terrace was also the home address of her youngest son, Charles Dewe.
