Biography
William Edward Toney was born in 1766 in Rutherford, North Carolina, his father, Sherwood, was 28 and his mother, Lorena, was 21. He had one son with Cynthia Henrietta Hardin in 1799. He died on August 22, 1815, in Maury, Tennessee, at the age of 49.
