Roy was born in 1885. He was the son of George Towsley and Bertha Green. He passed away in 1915.

Reports in circulation regarding the drowning of Roy Towsley in the Salmon river at Port Ontario Sunday morning proved to be without foundation at least nothing developed in the inquest held at the court House Tuesday. Assist District Attorney. Don A. Colony of Lacona was present throughout the examination, but nothing developed to indicate, that the drowning was other than accidental Hooper and Whaley, Towsley's companions, were the chief witnesses. An autopsy was performed on the body of Towsley by Dr. Ritter, coroner's physician, stated that the stomach of the drowned man showed acute alcholism. The body was taken to Dugway, burial was made at the Dugway cemetery.
