Elizabeth was born in 1838 at Thorold to Robert and Elizabeth Tune. She was baptized at Niagara on February 25, 1844.[1]
In 1851 Robert and Elizabeth June Tune were living in the Township of Burford in Brandt County. Robert was an innkeeper. Living at home were children Ann (18), James (16), Elizabeth (15), Mary Ann (13), Sarah (11), Robert (9) and John (6).[2]
Lewis Soper and Elizabeth Tune were married on July 18, 1855 at Brock, Ontario.[3]
In 1861 Lewis and Elizabeth were living in the town of Woodstock in Oxford County, Ontario. Lewis identified as a machinist. The couple had 2 daughters at the time; Priscilla, age 3, and 1 year old Ada. The couple had a two storey frame house.[4]
In 1871 the Soper family was living in the town of St Catherines, Ontario where father L N Soper was employed as a music dealer. L N and Elizabeth had four children at the time: Cynthia (10), Ada (13), Charlotte (7) and Frederick (3).[5]
By 1881 the family was living in the city of Toronto where Lewis was employed as a merchant. Herbert, born in 1877, and Robert, born in 1879, were new additions to the family in the intervening years.[6]
In 1901, Louis and Elisabeth were living in the city of Guelph in Wellington South, Ontario. Louis was employed as a piano tuner. Daughter Cynthia was also in residence.[7]
1911 saw Lewis still employed as a tuner, but census indicates it was at a factory. Lewis, Elizabeth and Cynthia lived on Edwin Street in the city of Guelph.[8]
Elizabeth died May 24, 1918 at the age of 81 at Lambeth. She was the daughter of Robert Tune and Elizabeth Dean. Informant was Fred Soper of Lambeth.[9]
