Biography

Ann was born about 1835. She passed away in 1881.

Ann Tune, daughter of Edward Tune & Elizabeth, was baptised on 27 September 1835 in Crowle, Lincoln, England.^[1]

In 1841, 5-year-old Ann was one of four children in the home of Edward and Elizabeth Tune. The family was living in Crowle, Lincolnshire, where her father was a constable.^[2] She remained at home with her parents until her marriage.^[3]

Ann's marriage to John Slingwell was registered in Thorne in the first quarter of 1857.^[4] They would initially live with Ann's widowed father, Edward, in 1861. They had two children, Elizabeth (2) and infant William. Ann's brother, George, was also in residence.^[5]

John and Ann would remain in Crowle and by 1871 had six children.^[6]

Ann died at the age of 46 in March, 1881. Her death was registered in Thorne in the first quarter.^[7]
