Ellen was one of twin girls born in 1858 in Shipton-under-Wychwood in the Chipping Norton registration district of Oxfordshire, England. They were the daughters of Thomas Turner and Susan Bowerman.^[1][2]

In 1861 Ellen and her twin Eliza were recorded as 2 year old daughters in the household of their40 year old father Thomas at Shipton under Wychwood, Oxfordshire, England.^[3]

Ellen married John Longshaw in 1880 in the Chipping Norton registration district of Oxenfordshire, England. ^[4]

She passed away in 1898 in the Chipping Norton registration district of Oxfordshire, England. ^[5]This was the same year she gave birth to her youngest daughter Annie. It is not currently known if the two events were connected.
