Biography

Henry Jasper Tyrer was born 9 August 1828 to Henry John Tyrer and Isabella (Leech) Tyrer. He was baptized at St. Mary's of Islington on Aug. 31, 1828.

Henry's grandparents lived next door and with them lived 1) Mary Ann Sarah Mayfield.[1] He married her on 22 December 1850 at St Barnabas of Finsbury in Islington. Together they adopted Clara T. Fuller, and later became the parents of Henry William Tyrer, Mary Isabella Tyrer, and Benjamin Miatt Tyrer. Mary Ann died in 1869.

He married 2) Frances Ann Stebbing on 6 July 1870 at St Philip the Evangelist Church, Arlington Square in Islington. [2]Together they became the parents of Ernest John Tyrer, Jane Ursula (Tyrer) Taylor, Edith Isabella Tyrer, and Charles Thomas Tyrer.

Henry passed away in July 1885.[3] and was buried on 31 July 1885 at Abney Park in London. [4]
