This profile appears to be that of the Matilda of Saxony who was a granddaughter of Henry II, and whose father was Duke Henry the Lion. She was proposed as a potential bride for William I, King of Scots, but this marriage was forbidden by the Pope on grounds of consanguinity.[1][2] The date for her birth proposed here (1150) is not sourced and appears to be wildly off base, so is being removed pending further research.
